Terrible customer service

I regret taking the chance to sign up with Planet Fitness Umhlanga despite the poor reviews on Google. Here is the story; 1. When I made enquiry for membership pricing I clearly stated that am an Edgars VIP member and would like to use the benefit. Sales Rep (name can be provided) confirmed I would get 40%discount off membership fees, sad to say that didn't happen. 2. (Unknown to me) My membership account was incorrectly loaded in their system from the onset. I asked for a copy of contract- it was another back and forth talking and reminding sales rep( I should have ditched them then) 3. First incorrect debit order (full membership fee) went through, notified sales Rep and was assured it would be sorted out and would get refund. That didn't happen either. 4. Second incorrect debit order went through my account, notified sales again and again was reassured it would be rectified and refunded. Again that got ignored. 5. Closed my bank account transactions on that account and asked for a formal resolution, none was forthcoming only empty words and promises to sort out the problem. 6. Contacted Edgars, and Edgars said it has to be done from Planet Fitness Umhlanga as am a member there. 7. Adding salt to my misery, Planet Fitness debt collectors persistent calls despite asking them to look into the case and assist in rectifying the membership account. I refused to pay fees that I didn't sign up for. 7. Wrote email to Planet Fitness Umhlanga manager and sales manager and DID NOT GET A REPLY AT ALL. 8. I've since stopped going to that gym, can be overcrowded anyway and had no hot water for majority of this past winter season. 9. I still get calls from their debt collectors, it's insane and ridiculous
