terrible administration and customer service

<p>I have a contract with Planet fitness just gym in pietermaritzburg, I joined the gym and gave them my banking details and a debit order date of the 15 to debit every month. I only realised this month they have not been debiting my account and have now handed my account over to the debt collectors. Ipaid the their debt collectors the outstanding amount and I still cant access the gym because they say I am the one who is suppose to call their debt collectors and ask them to update the gym that I have paid. When I asked how they going to fix the debit order problem they are not giving me an answer, they say on their side the debit order appear as unpaid yet there is no debit order going through on my account or even showing that they tried to debit and it was unpaid. They did confirm they have correct bank details and correct debit date but they are not debiting my account, my account is now with the debt collectors damaging my name and credit history. Because they could not give me answers or way forward as to how they are going to sort this and prevent it from happening in the future and because I cant access the gym even after I have made the payment I then asked them if they can cancel this contract altogether and they are refusing to cancel telling me I have to pay about R1200 settlement amount, yet they are the ones who fail to manage this contract and causing me this much inconvenience. Please help me out of this contract with this terrible company.</p>
