Stay away from Planet fitness

I wish I had read all the reviews here before signing up for a Planet Fitness contract. Please do not sign with Planet Fitness if you are looking for a gym. Staff is *********** and will send you from pillar to post to try to resolve an issue which was their fault. I signed up for a contract with a Vitality benefit at Plant Fitness Sandton Gate, where Nabila was the sales consultant. They have however debited the incorrect full membership amounts from my bank account since then. When I took this up with her, she made false promises around the matter being logged and escalated. They promised to get back to me and did not keep their word until I followed up. I have been told that regardless of the error they have made, they cannot promise to refund the incorrect charges. To top it all off, despite the overcharges that have gone off my account for the last 2 months as debit orders, I cannot access the gym this week because I apparently owe and have not been paying my membership fees!!! What madness is this? Please investigate other gyms before settling for Planet Fitness as it appears that they are dishonest in how they conduct their business.
