SPRINGS MALL - SHOCKING EXPERIENCE

on 31 December 2025, I app**** for a 24 month contract, the receptionist had no idea of what she was doing, asked for assistance a few times and was left alone again. When the process was finished, I asked her if there was anything else and she said no. I was hounded and bombarded with phone calls and whatsapp messages because we did not do the fingerprints. I explained to the manager max that I work during the week and have a full family to sort out after work, we had a huge rain storm and our house was flooded, I explained this to him and he still wasn't interested, just insisted we go do our fingerprints, at work i was bombarded with calls and whatsapp messages to a point where I received a warning from my manager. I notified planet fitness to cancel my application and they said that the contract is already active and I must pay a cancellation fee of R1196, I exploded because, the absolute shocking service and harassment of Planet fitness springs mall has caused a relapse of severe anxiety, just thinking of going to gym, I won't go, not if my life depended on it because I feel absolutely harassed and treated with no regard, I cannot say that I will enjoy a single minute there. I suffer from back weakness, extreme anxiety and am entering a very hard stage of menopause, which is of course of no concern to them. I did not have a tour of the facility or anything and now i am bound to a 24 month contract or pay the cancellation fee because of their mistake by neglecting to get all the information. If the contract is already active, why are they harassing me for fingerprints, I haven't even been to gym yet. I am disgusted and absolutely scarred, this experience has put me off trying to get healthy or keep fit, I am utterly disappointed and will never ever recommend planet fitness ever in my life.
