Simply disgusting Planet Fitness

I joined Planet Fitness Brakpan at the end of 2021. I signed up for both my daughter and I. My contract was only for three months and hers for 12 with the option of cancelling the contract within those 12 months with 2 months notice, which I duly did for both of us. I get a letter of demand from debt collectors sent to both her and myself demanding the full contract payment. She is being held responsible in her personal capacity even though she never signed the contract and has no income. I signed us both up in my own capacity and would never allow her to sign any contract. I have spoken to the Sales and Branch Manager at Brakpan on numerous occasions with lots of promises to sort this out, but may I say this - These are simply gym contracts where you get conned into something that is simply unacceptable just so that the Sales person can make commission. The Debt collectors are not interested in ANYTHING you have to say, because AGAIN they get commission on collections and if they have to reduce anything, they lose out. So where does that leave the consumer? Do we have to revert to calling Wendy Knowler to step in? Shame on you Planet Fitness. Is this the way you treat students now, just to make a quick buck. Simply disgusting!!!
