Seriously irritated about this cancellation

It's been months trying to cancel my memberships I phoned the branch they said I must come in myself which I was unable to do in April I was involved in a accident I could not really do much walk, drive or anything I phoned the branch I told them my situation they said there is not much they can do i was of work since I only returned in 18 September I eventually got the time to go into the branch they said I must contact the call centre but the phones does not get answered i even forgot about it because I underwent an operation in July so u I received a message from their attorney's saying that I ow them and I don't even know how much this is really ridiculous I joined this gym only in February this year with my daughter's I really don't know what to say this craziness it's like they just don't listen or respond when you trying to cancel your membership I mean what happened to me was beyond my control and I have all the supporting documents for my injury they really need to look into this matter phoning them is a nightmare
