Relocated Gym in Montana is worse and the online staff are unhelpful

Start of the year I joined Planet Fitness Montana because at the time, out of the 3 big franchises (Virgin Active and Viva being the other 2) it was the closest to my home and I was a Momentum Multiply member.

The gym was decent.

Then they decided to move to Kollonade. Now it's the same distance as Virgin Active and only a few meters closer than Viva. But that's not the worst part. The new gym is "cheap". Not in price but in quality.

All the new equipment feels cheap and awkward to operate. It's the kind of stuff you'd expect someone to have in a garage gym. The Squash courts are now completely gone, so if you signed up for that you're just completely S.O.L. And the indoor running track is so short and awkward that there aren't any decent straight to sprint on! It's a total downgrade!

Now when I contacted them about it online, I was told they contractually have the right to move within 25 KM radius.

So, let's do the maths then. IF the gym was already 25 KM from my house and I signed up for one of the facilities you decided to just get rid of. And the gym moved another 25 KM away, then I'm just expected to drive 50 KM to the gym every day and then another 50 KM back home?! 100 KM!!! And sorry to whoever needs to cough up the money for that petrol bill???

I already canceled my multiply membership and told them it's due to you partonizing and unhelpful online staff.

Most of the email interactions have lacked any form of empathy and failed to address all of my questions. At this point, why not just replace them with an A.I.? (If you didn't do so already).

To anyone in Montana reading this. If you're looking for a gym, don't waste your time with Planet Fitness, they have NOT improved. Go with Viva. At least there you won't have a contract holding you back like this if the gym suddenly decides to relocate or downgrade!
