Refused Planet Fitness gym entry

I am a member of Planet Fitness Fourways. A very happy member. I have chosen not to opt for national membership and happily pay a day fee should I go to any other gym in South Africa (Planet Fitness or other).

Today I drove nearly 50kms to the Glenanda Planet Fitness Just Gym to train, as I had plans in the area after. The man at the counter coldly informed me they had no such thing as a day pass, which I asked to purchase. After awhile I decided I will contact some friends or family to be let in on the Planet Fitness 'black tag' as a guest. After being so embarrased and treated so coldly, I then happily informed the staff I would go in on a friends tag. I was told members of Planet Fitness are not allowed to do this. I asked to speak to the manager and was greeted with a man who had no clue. I physically was not allowed to enter this gym! Even though I was offering to pay. I have never been so humiliated. I called head office and after nearly an hour on the phone the best they could offer me was to upgrade my membership to national (paying double my monthly fee every month) just to be able to train tonight.

I am still in absolute shock that I was refused into a gym. I have never in my life been treated so badly and I will not keep quiet about it.
