R40 000 bill 8 years later!!!

Took a contract with PF in 2008, relocated to Roodepoort in 2009, tried to move my contract to the Rdp branch.<br> They were very unhelpful and never came back to me. PF Stopped the debiting from their side, went into the branch to query this, no one knew but said they'd ask someone to contact me...didn't happen. I assumed my contract was cancelled. Febr 2016 I went to PF to rejoin and was told that I owe Planet Fitness R40k! <br> I phoned customer service, Maimo told me that my membership was still active but they are willing to give me 50% off of the \owing\" amount, how they can continue to renew a contract if there are monies outstanding without even trying to make contact with the member and he had no answer. Told me that he could see no one tried to make contact with me before this but I am still liable? Asked to speak to a manager there was not 1 available, i requested for a manager to call me...nothing, phoned again, no one available? Called third time, still nothing, he assured me a manager will call me, nothing?<br> Couple days ago I get an sms from Planet Fitness (the first time ever) telling me I must contact them to arrange pmnt to prevent legal action, this is a joke!!!"
