R20 000.00 IN ARREARS

I took out a gym contract in 25.09.2008 after which it was cancelled a year into the contract. On acquiring about a new membership, I found that I still owe Planet Fitness R20 000.00. This amount reflect on my account since 2008. <br> The reason they provided was that I never cancelled the contract and they never stopped debiting my account (of which the bank account is closed) for the past 5 years.<br> <br> I called them to find out how we can resolve this and the only resolution they had, was that I'm still liable for the money.<br> Paying for a service that I never used and I'm being billed for it. Ridiculous!!!<br> Not impressed at all.
