Privacy Concerns at Planet Fitness

Yesterday I decided to join planetfitness Westville, I was really taken aback by the request for me to enter my personal information and SA ID on book which was in complete access by any person entering the gym. I then refused to enter my ID number and was asked to wait in the reception area. The consultant then came thru and I shared my privacy concerns, he then called the manager of the gym and I was told by the manager that’s how it is and this was in place for 20years…. I find this response appalling especially in this era regarding *****. It is a blatant disregard for any persons privacy. I requested to view the gym before signing up, however, wasn’t allowed to view any of the facilities until I signed an application and paid for my tag! Because I refused to enter my ID number in your register!!!!
