PLANET FITNESS...A ****...Please Be Careful....Only AFTER MONEY

I should have come here firts to read reviews on Planet fitness. What's the use of gaining physical fitness when the same gym gives you mental distress? I have been fighting the same issue - joined gym in December and was told conversion to Vitality benefit is being done same month. Three months down the line, there's still no link to Vitality; my bank account is being deducted with outrageous amount. When i noticed this debit order on the 23rd December, i was told it's a mistake, and i was asked wether i prefer a refund or for account to be credited. i chose the latter. January again, the same amount went off my account; queried this again and why my credit was not taken into account. The answer is there's still admin issues with converting my membership, i must pay R499,00 as an Activation fee and this will be resolved. Stupid me, i swiped my card at the branch and paid the R499,99 activation fee. i was told both my credit will be reinstated and if the January debit order is not reversed by the bank, I will be refunded. Alas, to now the 25th February not only the incorrect monthly account has been debited, but an additional R319 on top of that has been deducted from my bank account. I logged a complaint online and received a call from Nonhlanhla (Head Office) this morning at 08h00. I explained all this **** to her, and she claims she cannot see the contract on their system, I must email them my copy. It is now 14h00, and I am still waiting for Nonhlanhla to sent me an email with the reference number so that I can respond to that with the contract and whatever documents I have regarding this. During the day, I decided to contact the customer service, and I was put through to Thabang who after greetings and confirming my detail, started listening to my queries for about 3 minutes or so, until I realised I was talking to myself. Looks like we got cut off, called them again, was told Thabang was on another call, the lady took my cellphone numbers promising that Thabang will call me back...Three hours later, I am still waiting for Thabang to call.

Joing Planet Fitness is the worst decision I have ever made, especially towards my mental health. I have paid over R2400 in gym fees over 3 months, when I was shown a marketing phamplet which say 75% if you are on Viatality, which is around R249 per month. i am being charged and additional R99 for a buddy tag, and yet I don't have a buddy...My kids are under my Vitality profile. I am told to cancel this gym membership I will have to pay R2000 extra. Planet Fitness, this is not how you treat your clients.... I am extremely upset; but what I know I do not have the R798,00 for gym...
