Planet Fitness - Worst Exprerience of my Life and Untruthfulness all in the name of Targets

In need of serious help or a referral (Ombudsman or consumer Protection) to Cancel 'Untruthful Contract' .. My story: *'Black Friday' Gym Special for 3months for 'R99' , a seller line for the Salesman (Max). I currently have a vitality membership with Virgin Active which i stated clearly to the Salesman and he further also stated that in order to be on Vitality with Planet Fitness I'd have to cancel with Virgin Active should i like Planet F. To my surprise on the 29th April, there was a D/O deduction of R399, i then gave Max a call about this and explained my Frustration. He responded coldly by asking me to send him my Id number and he'll get back to me. To this day, he hasn't called me back nor given any sort of feedback. Another D/O deduction has gone off again, i then today called Planet Fitness Carnival (02 May 2019) and requested to speak to the Sales Manager, was told I'd be transferred to Bruce. After explaining my story to Bruce, he asked for my Id number and then told me he has my 24month contract that he sees i signed and therefore nothing else can done. Bruce said i signed with Max, he can't take my story, he'd have to have a meeting with Max and I, but still, this won't change the Fact that i signed a 24 month contract (saying would i like him to email the contract to me?). Bruce mentioned in our telephonic conversation that there was even a 12month contract, which i then said to him that i wasn't even made aware of that too, he still went further on and said nothing can be done I signed. I further called Planet Fitness Head office and asked to be through to the National Sales Manager and got transferred to be told that he was in a meeting, my contact details were taken down and I was that a gentleman by the name of P..... would call me back (this never materialised - 02/05/2019).

Why would i have two memberships on Vitality, key thing was that i clearly explained this to Max and he agreed. As a Salesperson he should have explained these conditions, the 'Fine-print', the different types of memberships (12 or 24 months) and lastly make it explicitly clear that Mr. after the 3months of R99 once you take this special, the monthly amount will automatically change. I even further made it clear that because I'm taking this 3months special, I will make cash payments and he acknowledged this. He said the request for my d/o details is just a 'process' for his paperwork and confirmed that nothing will be collected. Utter worst experience I have ever experienced with any company or a Salesperson. Tv ads or billboards with conditions/fine prints are 'hidden' so as to entice Patrons to come in-store and ask Questions. I firmly believe it is the Duty of any Salesperson to be transparent and truthful about this, give individuals options and a chance for them to make the best Decision to what suites them. It is my Right to make this decision because it carries a financial impact and not be *******/**** to just to increase a Salesperson's monthly target.

No logic in having a Planet Fitness together with a Virgin Active memberships on Vitality at the same time....
