Planet Fitness with their head in the sand

<p>A few days ago I raised a query with PlanetFitness, who have collected gym fees after our membership should have expired. The helpers in the gym kept on talking about their "automatic renewal clause", apparently completely unaware about the provisions of Sec. 14 of the CPA. After holding on for a long time, I was finally able to speak to their call centre, who allocated reference number PF ********** . They would have come back to me by email about my query about stopping collections and refunding the wrongfully collected money. In stead, they simply emailed me notification that the cancellation was in progress, and later that PF ********** was closed, and that I could phone them (again) if I had wanted more information. Not a word about refunding the money that they have collected without permission. So that is apparently Planet Fitness' approach. Debit their bank accounts wrongfully, and resolve queries by closing them prematurely. What must one do to get fair treatment out of Planet Fitness?</p>
