Planet Fitness ********* practice towards minors | Money making schemes

Good Day to whomever it may concern, I hope you are well,

I would like to lodge a complaint against one of your policies. I recently signed up for a black tag and started gymming with my cousin. We had no issues at the gym for 3 weeks, then the Reception manager said to me that the black tag policy does not allow 16-year-old members with the black tag, only members that are over the age of 18. No one mentioned this policy to me nor did anyone send me any black tag policies. They then referred me to the Junior package which is R199. Were as a black tag is R99 and makes more sense to someone who is under the age of 18 who does not work and is in school. I then called the support line to discuss my issue and they said to me that I should cancel my black tag and upgrade my package from the R399 it costs for the base subscription and get one that will allow family dependants that cost R699. Both work out more expensive and I feel that Planet Fitness is taking advantage of underaged kids and their parents to take money from them. I can't see a logical reason to have kids pay more than working adults. This seems like a money-making strategy.
