Planet Fitness unauthorized debit order
After successfully terminating my gym contract with Planet Fitness last year in October 2023 Planet Fitness is still deducting funds from my bank account without my permission.
I have loaded a stop order and requested that my private banker load a stop order as well. Since the initial stop order in November 2023, they are been changing the amount to bypass the stop order.
I have written an email to Planet Fitness and I have written a follow-up email, but they are ignoring it and continue to ********ly and unilaterally deduct funds from my account.
I have never had such a bad experience with a world-class institute.

Thank you for responding.
I have communicated with your Senior Consultant.
She/He expressed that Planet Fitness can deduct funds from my account without my consent and approval. The Consultant also sent me the wrong statement of one of their members in Germiston. The PDF was titled with my name and contained the details of another member.
This is very unprofessional and misleading. I requested the correct information and found that the outstanding balance on terminating my month-to-month contract (non-recurring) was R 1254.72. After the termination, Planet Fitness debited me for four months for a total amount of R 1037.00. Thus the outstanding balance should be R217.72 and not R 864.48.
Note that sharing information of your members without their consent is also a breach of the POPIAct.
