Planet fitness takes peoples money!!

In March of 2016 I decided do cancel my gym contract as it was already a year old and I didn't want to continue with it as I fell pregnant in January and felt there are to many risks involved. I struggled to cancel, went in to the gym, they couldn't assist and gave me a number I should phone. I did not get through the first few times and when I finally did, they had so many reasons why I should not cancel, almost making me feel guilty for not wanting to gym anymore. Finally after talking to a great amount of consultants I was assured by one of them that my contract was now cancelled and will not be deducted in the following month. Life went on and I got very busy (having a full time teaching job and being pregnant), so I did not realize that in actual fact the money was still being deducted and nothing was stopped. I recently lost my job and the first thing I did was check my debit orders to see where I can save and there it was!!! The debit order have still been going of for three years!!! And I thought, for 3 years I haven't swiped in my tag and not even once did the contact me to find out why I haven't been coming to the gym. All the cared about was the money! I immediately went to the bank and reverced the debit order. I also phoned the, emailed them, no getting back to me. I only got a sms to say I must contact them about my revirced debit order!! They stole my money!! It added up to an amount of R9700 I paid for nothing. I went to see a lawyer which sent them a letter, no reply yet....
