Aspiring Gym Goers...STAY AWAY FROM PLANET FITNESS..!!

These guys are a proper mafia...they flood malls and shopping centres with agents and people trying to tie you into a contract...They sign you up to a contract with LIES, and then good luck trying to ever get out.

I signed up for Planet Fitness Hazelwood in 2020, after promises that i can freeze the contract at any time (i work overseas). On freezing the contract, in June 2021, i assumed all is well...and they kept billing me, despite my many emails and call to them.

It has been ONE YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS since i even stepped in that gym, and even calling them, and being escalated to supervisors, but i think its part of their business model. Sign people up before they know whats happening, and then forget they exist...

The agents are helpless, have spoken to them all by now, and wasted 1000's on airtime, on their false promises to cancel my membership....Spoken to supervisors also who don't care. Once they have got your money good luck getting any help or assistance.

I'm not going to spend a cent ever on Planet Fitness, and will make sure my friends follow suit. I did all the right things, even sent them paperwork, proof of and employment letters, as they requested..and we are still here. Spoken to about 20 people by now, all promising it is sorted..and yes, here we are.

Terrible business ethics AND customer service.. Will make sure this is known far and wise.
