Planet Fitness Parklands - the worst gym company I have dealt with

This is the most deceptive company I have ever dealt with. Its staff mislead, deceive, and misrepresent contractual terms simply to secure a sale.

More specifically, my recent experience involved Nadine T of Planet Fitness, who misrepresented the terms of a contract to both my adult son and me (he is a direct witness). When I requested sight of the agreement and its terms prior to signing, I was advised that there were “system issues” and that the agreement could not be viewed at that time.

Upon returning home, both my son and I sent WhatsApp messages to Nadine setting out our understanding of the contract terms, to which Nadine explicitly responded “yes,” confirming that our understanding was correct. When I later attended to sign the agreement, I again reiterated those same terms, which Nadine once more confirmed. At no stage was I afforded the opportunity to view the full agreement prior to signing on a tablet presented to me.

However, upon subsequently receiving the signed agreement, the terms were materially different from those that had been represented to me. On 24 December 2025, immediately after receiving the agreement signed on 22 December 2025, I formally requested cancellation on the basis of misrepresentation and deception.

Since then, I have exchanged numerous communications and spoken directly with Muneeb, a manager at Planet Fitness Parklands. Despite repeated assurances that the agreement would be cancelled, Planet Fitness has consistently failed and/or refused to confirm this in writing and has ignored my follow-up emails.

Furthermore, although my son signed an agreement in his own capacity, Planet Fitness unilaterally placed him onto my contract.

This has been an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. Unfortunately, this is not the first negative experience I have had with Planet Fitness and it has reinforced my view that this is one of the worst gym companies I have dealt with.
