PLANET FITNESS OPENS ACCOUNT ON MINORS NAME
Won't be joining planet after the way my husband is being treated by your staff. And I have been reading reviews and all is the same automated response that everyone gets.
Mu husband gymed at your gym 10 years ago. He was a minor. Membership was never on his name. Membership was canceled by the account holder in branch and my husband never returned. Just to find out YOU GUYS renewed it when he turned 18. Just by yourself. Decided to re open his Membership.
I know for a fact he did not renew it as for he was no longer at that gym or even in the area. Everytime he tries to talk to a consultant they do not listen and just tell him he joined the gym again. And it ends up in everyone shouting at each other. So he was a minor. And did not have anything on his name because according to our law he is not allowed to. So you go and re open a Membership for a minor because at that time the legal age was still 21 and you re open a Membership for a minor. So who is at fault here? I really wanted to join the gym with my husband and after this treatment I will be taking me and my families business elsewhere.

Like I said what was clearly miss read he was never the account holder. He was a minor. So how can you say debt collectors might be calling him if he never had the name of the membership and when he turned 18 according to your consultants the account was taken over to his name because now he is of legal age??????
What should have happened in this case was we have asked numerous times where my husband signed for this membership that was allegedly opened by him. And all we get is snotty awnsers that he needs to pay so that he can join again
Having to pay fees for a membership that was opened without the persons concent? Sounds more like someone missed their target for the month and Used a minors name to reach target.

Putting a ID number on a public platform?
Don't worry we joined another gym yesterday. Took us a whole 10min and we were done.
Have a blessed day and I really hope you look into your staff the way the talk to people and his ID number was only given the other day when we spoke to a consultant. So that membership was not even on his ID.
