Planet Fitness- no cares for the safety of their members...

Cannot express how appalled I am with the Planet Fitness! I had sustained an injury due to their gross negligence at their Glenanda Branch because they do not maintain their machines and did not out a sign up that the leg press machine was broken. they failed to address it properly and after a few weeks I decided I no longer wish to train at their gym as they are NOT maintaining their machines and I DO NOT want to risk another injury (as now I am left with a scar in the middle of my shin!)- I was told I have to pay to be released from my contract. which I feel is highly unfair as they are not meeting their quality standards either. After weeks of sending correspondences and begging for someone to get back to me- still no one has addressed my queries nor requests. its incredibly frustrating. ive stopped training there and they continue to debit my account. why should I pay for services when they are not holding a standard of quality on their equipment. Half their treadmills weren't working at the time that I left! it seems to me that all they care about is turning a profit and NOT concerned at all about their members well being. I was told by one of their staff that the machine that injured me was logged as broken several times and they had not attended to it, they allowed members to use it as it was still "usable" although defective! only once I got injured and threw a fit did the (a few days later) put up signs to stop members from using it. I tried to address this in a respectful civil manner without having to express my distate publicly but due to their lack of respect to get back to me to address my problems... I don't see why I shouldn't share my story with the public!
