Planet Fitness ****med Me!!!!!

I went to Planet Fitness and took out a contract for my father and myself on 16 December 2025 because we heard from a family member that you can get up to 80% off if you're with Sanlam Reality. That was the biggest mistake I made. Two days later they charged me a further R150. I had thought that when I made the payment for the new account fee, everything was included as I was told; thereafter, I was told they didn't charge me the elevate. From the first installment everything went wrong; they charged me the full amount, which I reversed, because that was not what I agreed to. For the last 6 months I have been battling with my father's gym membership. I even told them last month I would not make payment until they sorted the issue out; however, Sanlam advised us that we had to pay the R900+, and once fees were all up-to-date, they would reimburse us and we would be charged correctly from the new month. Again, I was charged the incorrect amount. I called my bank and had them reverse the fee. I am so fed up! I requested that they cancel the contract because what I was charged was not agreed upon. I was then told very 'politely' that if I cancel, I would be charged the full amount for the months still owed for the contract; this was not what I agreed to! I have been more than patient for the last six months. I was paying the incorrect amounts on my father's account every month. I do not have money lying around. My budget was set to accommodate the amounts they told me and not to be overcharged every month.
