Planet Fitness Liberty Midlands Mall

Supp everyone 🙌 I just wanted to raise a concern about Planet Fitness Midlands Liberty mall. My contract has been terminated and I've been banned across all Planet Fitness and Just Gyms in KZN because I take shirtless pictures from time to time.

1. In the Planet Fitness rules and regulations, it does not state you can't do this. Around the gym, there's no signs saying not to do this.

2. I've never gotten a written warning or been sat down and told this.

3. On a call received from the club manager, I was told that I must stop doing this and I did stop but 3 weeks later my contract was terminated. 4. When a gym staff member swore me a while back, the club manager had said that there's no evidence and that on footage the staff member had his mask on so there is no evidence that he swore me but she made him apologize to me for doing so.

5. One of the gym rules that's stated all over is to not re-rack the weights because there is a place to put the weights for staff to sanitize and re-rack but this doesn't happen at the gym. When we members did follow this instruction, a staff member approached my colleagues and I and said, "who's going to put your weights away?" But an instruction in the gym states that it is said not to do so.

6. I had asked to speak to someone higher than the club manager and when I did, the guy said to me, "No, what I done is wrong and they don't want me at the gym. "

7. The gym allows members to use equipment that's damaged where it can be harmful to the members and cause injury (Example, the leg press without a rubber mat pad).

8. If taking out a shirt is not allowed at all Planet Fitness, then why does Planet Fitness marketing team share the posts? Why do they like members posts when they are shirtless if this is not allowed?

9. I asked the acting manager on duty for the rules and regulations of the gym and she said she doesn't have it and doesn't know it.

10. The gyms hygiene is pathetic. The males change rooms are always dirty, facial hair on basins and toilets are rarely cleaned.

11. The sales consultant also mentioned to the club manager that I brought in many members that joined the gym, but they don't see it as anything good that I done whereas the sales members say it's difficult getting in people and I brought in many members.

12. I have proof that people around South Africa that train at Planet Fitness do take shirtless pictures and post them on their social media. Potchefstroom, Johannesburg, Durban and also have proof of Planet Fitness South Africa sharing my pictures on their social media.

13. I signed a contract around 4 years ago when i started at the gym and now when I ask for my contract, to read it, i was told that they don't have it and they don't know where it is.

Many friends and colleagues joined the gym and sent in emails about the issue and the club manager had told me on a call that they can all cancel and leave.

I also asked if I could train again and the club manager is on leave so i was told she said not to allow me in. I dont think this in fair because I'm a member since this gym has opened. There are other members wanting to join this facility but after being told about what really goes on, they are thinking otherwise as the gym doesn't keep up to standards and individuals get targeted.

I do feel I was targeted for some reason by this gym and their management. So all honest opinions can be mentioned🙌 ⭐Share this post so it can reach all the right people⭐
