Planet Fitness Just Gym In Umhlanga Is A ****!!

The sales people at Planet Fitness Just Gym are honestly ********. I joined in December and a few of my colleagues who go there had warned me about going there as they have always been double debited and some of them even cancelled membership because of this.

Since being a member, with the exception of March, my bank account is constantly being debited twice. When I went to enquire about this in January, a gentleman named Luyanda who had helped me sign up told me he put my account details under the membership of one of my colleagues because he didn't have his account details and he needed to process the membership - all this without my knowledge or consent - but he assured me he has fixed it. I never even received an apology for this.

In February, I also had the same issue and this time, when I reverse one of the payments, it reversed on my membership. This time, I decided to go with the colleague so that this can be rectified. He paid the R219 which was outstanding on my account and also filled in a form to change his banking details. When March came and I was only debited once, I thought this was fixed. However, now in April the issue is back again. I don't want to look at how to resolve it, I have no interest at all. I have already reversed both the debit orders that came out this month as my bank account was in arrears due to this problem.

On the 2nd of March, I went there to cancel and was told I need to call the call center. I did exactly that the next day and I was on a call for 31 minutes with one of their agents and after relaying my entire frustrations with and my reasons for cancellation, she told me to pay an amount over R1000 for cancelation. I disputed this and asked to speak to a manager and was told a manager is unavailable and I will be called after 1pm, that call has never happened. I have sent multiple emails since then and no responses have been received. I am highly disappointed with how Planet Fitness Just Gym in Umhlanga has treated me and my frustrations with them.
