PLANET FITNESS IS THE WORSE GYM , DISGUSTED AND WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE HERE

Our nightmare started in February when we signed up for a contract with the Umhlanga branch. The sales was persuasive and made my husband a very attractive offer, even when he said he will come back was shopping around. He eventually took the offer that coming to R599 but with the levies R648, we were promised a free buddy tag for 24months with the contract which was supposed to be loaded on the system by monday the 18th of February 2025, but when we went in this was not done. My husband immediately brough this to their attention but was continuously told admin will sort out, the following week another consultant was at reception and when he asked her about the the tag, she mentioned the tag is only free for 3mths. This is when our nightmare started. At this point after we were told this, we requested immediate cancellation, and asked for the manager. NOBODY CONTACTED US , we kept calling but to no avail, event he store manager never contacted us. I called the call centre and reported same, but still no response. 1st of March premium went off and still no reply, 1st of April the next premium went through, my husband was using the gym because we were told the query is being handled in head office and becasue we paid he can still use the gym facilities. On the 9th of April while training my husband had an injury to his head, the weights were misplaced and fell on his head cutting him deeply, an ambulance was called to attend to him and stop the bleeding. thankfully he did not require stitching but was in immense pain due to the hit on his head. We requested immediate cancellation even at this point to no avail. Its now May and we are still awaiting a response from this unprofessional team at Planet Fitness, who are useless and are there just to make a sale. NO AFTER SALES SERVICE. theres no remorse or apologies. We were sold a contract that never delivered , even the contract had no mention of the 24mths free buddy tag. This month we stopped the debit order as we are not prepared to deal with a company that is undeniably the worst company I have ever delt with. Please be weary when taking out long term contracts especially when you are persuaded to do so and made promises that are not adhered to. PLANET FITNESS NEEDS TO BE CLOSED
