Do NOT sign up with these guys, they're dodgey as hell

Signing up is so easy, but you can't cancel the contract in the same way you signed up, and they make you have to contact the head office for some reason, they want a 4 month notice and they want you to pay R1500 upfront in order to cancel

I'm being reassigned for work, it's been almost a year since I signed up at the gym, but they insist it's my fault for signing up with them and that they're not moving thr gym from me, but it's me who's moving away from the gym (because, you know, I wasn't exactly given 4 months notice of my reassignment)

Why is it so much harder to cancel the contract than it is to sign up? Why can't I cancel the same way as I signed up? Why is it compulsory to give an unreasonable time of notice and why is the cancelation fee so unreasonable?
