Planet fitness is more of a contract **** than an actual gym

Do not sign up for a planet fitness membership. They invite you with a R1750 voucher (which you cant really use for anything). When you get there they give you this massive “deal” and put a contract in your face. I wasnt even sure my contract had started. Did t go to that gym once as i gym at Virgin Active and tried to cancel after 2 months. Then they said I owe them R1200 for the cancelation. They then only processed my cancelation the next month and said I owe them R1600. They phone like loan sharks and when you say you arent paying for this they put the phone down in your ear. Hopefully this can be sorted out soon because I’ve heard from various friends where similar incidents happened and it feels like this massive corporation is taking advantage of their customers.
