Planet Fitness is a ***** (Be careful when taking up contracts with them)

2020 last year in September i went to Planet Fitness gym in Bedfordview to try and see if they had any affordable packages that i could sign up for. Lydia is the name of the lady that assisted me. After she had shown me all the packages they had i told Lydia that i did not afford any of them as i am not permanently employed and i did not have medical aid therefor i did not qualify for the discounted rates.

Lydia then proceeded to inform me that the gym usually has brand new specials in January and she will find something more suitable for me in January. Lydia said i can sign the contract now in September and start gym for the time being and i would be paying R300. Fast forward to January i go back to Lydia and ask her about the cheaper package she said i would get in January. She gave me excuses about how she can not access certain portals on the system, she gave me her whatsapp number but she never responds to my text. I called the gym and spoke to Noni (im not really sure about her name) and i told her my issue. She told me that she was not surprised that i had this kind of problem considering i had taken up the contract with Lydia meaning that she gives falls information to get clients to sign up. This is when i also learned that Lydia had changed my contract to two years where i had signed up for one year. So now i am currently paying R600 for gym membership fee i did not agree on and can not afford. The contract i have with planet fitness is invalid to me because i was mislead and **** to. Lydia also informed me that i could pause the contract at anytime and only pay R100 i later found out that this was also untrue.

Lydia is a **** and a ********* that would do and say anything to get client so sign up and because planet fitness has dishonest employees and a group that has zero ethics i would like to cancel my contract with them.
