PLANET FITNESS IS A BUNCH OF ****** DON’T JOIN THEM

If you are thinking to join Planet Fitness Do not go with them as they are a bunch of ****** !

Firstly i joined them in 2019 then after a year i cancelled my contract due to moving to a different town. Everything was cancelled a year later i received a letter from their lawyers that i ow them a amount of more than 2k, the reason for that is they never canceled my contract they kept on billing me.

Then in last week of May 2024 decided to join them again, give them another chance.

The promises that was made to me are the following •3 months free you will only pay your first installment in August 2024 •Buddy tag for free for a year •Monthly payment wil be R700 pm from August

I paid my dep for my tag and vitality activation fee. 1st of June 2024 they deducted R799 from my account which means i was binded on false promises i never got 3 months for free and the buddy tag that they advertised as free for a year is a lie the charged me a R99 on my R700 monthly fee.

I contacted the guy who help me to join (Evan) at Silverlakes Planet his words was sorry i cant do anything for you contact the call centre.

I contacted the call centre they told me they cant assist i need to talk to the specific club. After that i told the lady at the call centre i want to cancel because of the false promises that was made and because of the money that they deduct as they please. Then she told me no problem sir I’ll cancel it for you the amount that you need to pay is R4200.

So if your thinking of joining them, stay away they make promise that they will not keep and when you contact them regarding this they tell you sorry i cant help you with this its your problem.
