Planet Fitness, ***** & ****ery!!!

Planet Fitness should be called Planet *****, ***** & ****ery. I was offered a 7 day trial period, to try their services, which lapsed after the 7th day. Long story short I never went, wasted my R125 joining fee. A year later, they started calling me to say I owe them over R2000.00. I explained the whole story and they disappeared. A year later after that they have sent my name to their debt collectors saying I owe them over R7000.00. They attempted to threaten me saying that they had a signed contract from me stating that I committed to a 24 months membership. I requested a copy of the alleged contract to which three months later I still haven't received. Instead they keep calling me to say that they need a blank copy of my signature and ID to compare it to the contract that they have. Supposedly this is to verify if nobody has forged my signature. They refuse to send me the contract that they have but expect me to share my confidential information in order to verify their allegation. I find this disgustingly ********. What kind of institution requests a copy of a blank electronic signature to verify a document that they cannot prove they have?? I am disgusted by the lack of ethics and integrity displayed by the employees of Planet Fitness. It's clear the whole thing is a **** to make people pay money that they do not owe. It is every consumers right to obtain a copy of a sign agreement that holds them to any and all terms and conditions of the agreement. Don't let those ****ers bully and rob you in the process.
