Planet Fitness - Don’t support them

I was diagnosed with cancer April last year. Since then I have been unable to gym, will be unable due to chemo treatment and operations, and recovery. I have send numerous emails and I phoned head office, to request cancellation. They said that I have to pay 4 months cancellation fees! I requested to speak to a manager where I was told that I must send an email. The email was send before monthend on the 28/01/2026. I have been waiting with NO response and it is the 3rd of February now!! Am I now going to pay for February too?? This is terriblle! How is it possible to not be able cancel a contract, due to cancer?
