Planet fitness contracts

Although the facilities are well equipped and clean , I was shocked to see the aggressive behaviour that consultants use inorder for you to join Pf. I went in today after I app**** for a one week trial online. I was shown around planet fitness and everything seemed great untill I was seated and given a break down of fees. As a student , taking out a 12 month contract is unwise.....After telling my consultant that I needed to think about it she insisted that I sign a paper , when I asked her what is it she told me it's just so that she can hold the offer that I received , despite the paper saying "membership contract". I refused to sign it as I can not sign something that could possibly hold me liable for money each month. Planet fitness is not transparent and it is evident from today's visit that they use unfavourable tactics inorder to get new members to join. I have not used the one week free trial and probably never will as it isn't the way it seems. There are various hidden costs and the "join from R199 p/m deal" wasn't even an option when I went there.

Planet fitness should look towards healthier brand and customer relations as well as possibly offering month-to-month contracts like Viva gym.
