Planet Fitness contract reads "YOU SHAN'T NOT LEAVE, HA HA HA HA!"

PF Plattekloof is an awesome facility that caters for all your gymbaby needs! However thing may take a bad turn when you want to leave. This is my current dealings with Planet Fitness: *** whom after 6 months they decided to invoke an "Auto Renewal" clause on a contract that came to an end and we choose not to continue with them. This is the email explaining the situation: Hi there p***ent65 My son was told in December 2018 that his contract is ending, as we went away for the holidays I phoned and told the sales representative that we would be back in January to discuss the new contract as my daughter (currently only using the school access program) also wanted to join in full membership so she could join her brother when he uses your facility. Came January we were at your office to discuss the details but your membership was a R160p/p more than another facility in Tygervalley, so we did not continue with a new contract.

So it was all fine until I noticed in September debit orders on my account that I did not recognise. I must admit that do not always check my statements and to actually get this information on the owner of the debit order also took time thanks to our wonderful banking systems. In the end it pointed to your company.

In our telephonic conversation you argued that it is the "auto renewal" that kicked in, but that does not hold any water as for the months of January, February, March, April, May and June there were no deductions. Then suddenly July it started. I don't understand how you can't see that this is wrong and if not very close to *****.
