Planet Fitness Coblewalk "No Shoe Policy In Stretch and Studio Area"

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for 5 years and 2 of those 5 years I joined the club in Coblewalk Center. 1 Month ago I was approached by one of the Staff Members (Julliette) in the stretch area to put my shoes on. I explained myself that I have lower back problem and that I need to stretch without my shoes on. This is any case best practice to do so. She said that it is the rules and the only time you can go without shoes is when in a yoga class in the studio. I went on and stretched in the studio from that point on wards till today 2022/11/07 when a staff member came and asked me to put my shoes on while stretching in the studio after my training session. When asking him why he said it is the rules and that a manager(Julliette) sent him to ask me to do so. This was the same lady(Juliette) who asked me in the stretch area. I said that I do not agree with this rule and another manager (Darryn) asked me to come see him when I was done training. I went to Darryn and he had the same story that only the yoga class is allowed to not were shoes and I responded that I am doing my own yoga routine in the studio. Note there was no one else in the studio at the time. He said that if he allowed me that he needs to allow everyone. When saying that I am not happy with this as it is the first time in my life that I heard this ridiculous rule and that I will continue stretching without shoes, as I do not see the harm in it and it is best to do so. When telling him that I am not happy with this and will cancel my membership. He told me to do so at the reception which I did. This is not how you treat members and I am shocked at how the went about this. There is so much more that I can elaborate on this simple point, but I do not see the benefit in doing so.
