Planet fitness closing account nightmare

After numerous attempts to close my planet fitness account i am still being bombarded with calls from debt collectors to pay arrears because the account has not closed. This is the worst gym to have an account with and also to try and close it is a nightmare. All im being told is that i never requested for the account to be closed but ive done so twice. Has anyone else had this experience with planet fitness?
