Planet Fitness Cape Town and their ********** dealings.

After a year as a member I have cancelled my membership, giving ample warning of my intentions and fully paid for my year’s membership. However, they are trying to charge me for the few months when the gym was closed last year due to government,COVID legislation. They are telling me I have a cancellation penalty due to the fact they didn’t take money during these months. This is a total disgrace and tantamount to *****. Nowhere in my contract hips this stated but if you speak to someone at the call centre, they have clearly been given a speech to recite about adhering to the clubs rules at all times. Absolute ******. I am over 60 with comorbidities which is why I am cancelling.
