Planet Fitness breached reinstatement agreement and ignored legal notices — NCC & CGSO complaints filed

Planet Fitness ignoring legal notices and sending debt collection emails instead — ongoing harassment I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership on 25 September 2025. Their retentions department then offered me a reinstatement deal — pay R927 (50% of arrears) and continue as a member, with the next debit only running on 1 December 2025. I accepted, paid in full on 29 October 2025, and have an audio recording of the agreed terms. Planet Fitness then breached their own agreement by demanding payment for November 2025 — a month I was not supposed to be billed. I could not use the gym in November or December as a result of their conduct. I cancelled again on 2 December 2025. I sent a detailed legal notice citing the Consumer Protection Act, the Law of Contract, and the Protection from Harassment Act — with reference to my audio evidence. Their response? They opened a brand new reference number (PFQ-798964) and sent me banking details as if I had agreed to pay — completely ignoring my legal notice, my evidence, and all my demands. This is now a matter of deliberate disregard for a consumer's legal rights. I am filing formal complaints with the National Consumer Commission (NCC) and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) today. References: PFQ-763055 | PFQ-798964
