Planet Fitness Bad service and false advertising

I am responding to complaint i have regarding Planet Fitness i have pre signed/joined for Planet Fitness under the premise that their Brakpan branch will open on the 15th of July. i went and signed the contract at carnival mall where the planet fitness team had a booth at Edgars i was told the gym opens the 15th of july at carnival mall. i signed the contract under the illusion that the gym will be open on the 15th of July. i was then contacted and told that the gym will only open at the end of august. i went ahead and cancelled my other gym contract as well.

This is blatant miscommunication from Planet Fitness side. i was falsely led to sign a contract for a gym opening the 15th of july. Not only is this false advertising, but also a breach of trust between the customer and planet fitness. i phoned to cancel the contract but was told that i must pay R2600 cancellation fee. i will not be paying this fee, as it is not the customers fault for delays regarding the opening of the gym. i was also falsely led to believe that the gym opens the 15th of July, but now i am told only the end of august.

i wish to cancel the contract as this was done with false advertising and blatant lies. I will not be paying any sort of cancellation fees. The gym has not opened yet, and will not for another 2 months apparently. i have had no use of the facilities thusfar. i was sold a contract under false pretences, i was also **** to about the opening times. Take this email as an official cancellation letter. Poor service I cannot get hold of anyone, no one can give me any clear news on what is going on. I will not be paying a cent for poor service and a facility thats been delayed and not opened yet. And i will not pay a cancellation fee or membership fee as this is poor service. Please contact me and cancel this membership.
