Planet Fitness Auto Renewing contract that was Handed over

Planet Fitness handed over my Gym account PF*** in 2019 with Landau Attorneys which I finished paying a total amount over R3200 in 2020, I since settled and Landau attorneys still referred me back to Planett Fitness to obtain Settlement letter which they still can't provide to me. I am now contacted by new lawyers for a handover amount of R1800 which did not make sense, I was handed over to lawyers yet Planet Fitness renewed gym contract I did not know of in the mist of being handed over. The sad part is have never used any of their gym facilities at all, paying the first handed over amount was fair as it was still within the valid contract. The newly handed over amount of R1800 I have not signed up for, they telling me that it's an auto renew but how do you auto renew contract that was already handed over? I don't owe Planet Fitness anything, this is a ******** mechanism and they can't renew without the client's knowledge.
