Planet Fitness are a bunch of *******

I took out a paid up contract in Centurion in February 2013. Was sold by a consultant (Proud) who mentioned to me it is a 36 month contract. After just a year my tag no longer worked. After a few days they resolved the issue and I had been told it was captured as a 12 month contract. Recently I joined Virgin active and called *** to cancel my PF contract. I was told that there was a refund due. Yesterday I was informed that my contract was actually a 24 month contract and that no refund was due. How can 1 contract which I was sold as being a 26 month contract have so many different terms according to the situation?? I call it theft!!. To me it feels as my contract was updated to suite them and when I cancelled it conveniently became a 24 month contract.<br> All calls I made should be on record and be used as proof of what I was told.

Hello yazeedkola,

We thank you for contacting us with regards to your query.

Please be advised the membership you took out was a 24 month expiry membership. This means after the months is up the membership automatically cancelled as per the agreement.

We have no record of a cancellation prior to this and membership was not a 12 month membership at any point.

Should you require further clarity or assistance kindly contact our customer care line.
