4 Years ago I took out a contract with Planet Fitness Ruimsig still being a student at that time without earning an income. My father arranged a debit order with them and paid for my membership. 2 Years later he informed me that my contract was cancelled. Since then I was totally unaware of the fact that I had an arrears amount in my name. They have not made any contact with me whatsoever. Not 1 email, message or phone call in years. They obviously have my correct details as I received a message only a week ago stating that I have been handed over to lawyers. How can you handover someone to lawyers if you have never even received anything to notify me that I am in arrears???? When I called them yesterday to ask them of any proof that they notify me I am in arrears, they could not provide me with any. They offered 50% off of the arrears amount. What arrears amount??? I did not even receive an invoice, letter or anything!!! They have the worst call centre, I opted to speak to one of their managers and yet the managers were too busy not caring to even bother to speak to me. Why would I pay for something that I was totally unaware of? Why would Planet Fitness hand me over to a lawyer when I did not even know I was in arrears to start with????
