Phone Theft and Personal Information Given Out

I am a member of Planet Fitness in Northmead Square. On 8th May 2025 my locker was forceable opened and phone ****** out. Per my discussions with the staff, that was the second incident of that kind in May 2025. The locks on many of the lockers had been problematic for months now, whether being entirely broken or poorly maintained. I raised the lock issue with staff before, but unfortunately it wasn't attended to even though the owners had months to sort the issue out. As a result thereof, I became a statistic of my phone being ******. No warnings were given to members after the first incident and therefore I trusted my valuables to be kept safe, however it is not the case. I therefore don't feel comfortable that, going forward, my valuable will be safe.

Furthermore, I was advised that only staff and members logged in that day. No buddy tags or vouchers were used. Yesterday on the 9th May 2025 a man phoned me (after my sim swap) on my number several times, claiming to be police and trying to get my phone login code and ID number which is clearly a **** since the case was logged at another police station. The only way someone would know my number to phone was by way of my phone number being given out by someone inside the gym, which may be staff or someone with access to my data. My phoned was locked and service suspended, so it's not possible to extract the number directly from the phone. The POPI Act does not permit the gym (or anyone inside) to give out my information without my consent (which I didn't give). Therefore I am also not sure whether or not my information is kept safely on Planet Fitness' data base in terms of the POPI Act.

Management informed me that they would send me an incident report yesterday, which I didn't receive.
