PAYMENT DEMAND AFTER 3 YEARS FROM PLANET FITNESS

I joined Planet fitness about 5 years ago and signed a debit order for the payments. It was a 2 year contract and i only wenr a few months because i found that i have chronic aneamia and should not be doing vigorous excercises. Anyway even though i didnt go to gym, the payments still continued until the contract ended. 2 and a half years later i get a call from some company, telling me that i owe Planet Fitness money and i must pay the money to this company that i dont even know, Laudau Attorneys in Jhb. As far as i know i paid my platness fitness contract by debit order until the contract expired, now after all this time with no notification or anything they telling me that i owe them money and i am handed over. I was never contacted before, during or after the contract ended to advise me that i have an outstanding balance and now i am expected to pay or else! Truly pathetic, we were and still are in a pandemic with alot of ***** happening then I get phone call like this? Am I suppose to just pay, no questions asked? The service levels from some big companies are so pathetic that it makes you wonder! I dont think that companies should demand payments after years without prior notifications, steps need to be followed before it is handed over. I would like to know when was any notice sent ro advise of any unpaids or money due. This is patheic and poor service to blacklist customers without notice. I try my best to keep my payment and credit record clean then i get this **** from Planet Fitness!
