Pathetic service

I recently received a call from Planet Fitness, claiming that i owe them money after cancelling my membership. It's been over a year now that i no longer have a contract with the gym. after explaining myself, i was told that my case will be handed over to debt collectors. i refuse to pay the ridiculous outstanding amount for planet fitness dropping the ball.
