Pathetic Service at Planet Fitness Olympus

This review is about Planet Fitness Olympus in Pretoria East. On the 13th of May the liason from the company I work for and Planet Fitness, notified us of free memberships, that our company would pay for. From the very beginning I was sent back and forth by the manager at Planet Fitness, known as Donovan. Up until today every time I entered the gym an issue would arise-either they didn’t know anything about the forementioned issue or they didn’t know how to handle the situation. I train 6 days a week and out of all those days that I have trained, only one individual was exceedingky sweet whenever helping behind the counter- Steph. On the 26th of August I paid for a tag, which until today- despite Donovan’s knowledge, I have still not received! Today I had the last straw from this gym! Prior to my afternoon gym session, I was messaged by Mr B. Laurence to “sort out my membership” and we agreed that I would be there before 15:40. Upon my arrival at 15:41, I was told to either train and he would see me afterwards or that I should wait 5 minutes as he was busy with someone else-despite our agreement! Once he was finished with a client he approached me and asked how he could assist me in sorting out my membership. As I started explaining, it became evident that he had no idea what I was talking about. He then headed over to Donovan-who was at that time talking to a client and then , without pulling him aside, they just blurted out the issue at hand at the time, without any of them excusing themselves from the client that Donovan was talking to. Considering that I left Virgin Active Hazeldean to train here, I can fully attest that I solely regret it! I will therefore proceed in telling my acquantices of this issue- mind you I was the only one from my company who was treated in this manner. Which is actually not a surprise vecause in one other instance like one of the aforementioned, one of the staff members called Donovan to advise as to what to do and he blantantly stated : “Wat soek sy”! I had a horrible experience and I would NOT recommend this Planet Fitness to any fitness enthusiast or bodybuilder like myself! As from tomorrow, I will be heading back to Virgin Active-happily so!
