Over charging and double charging

I signed up with this Gym, the Meadowdale branch, in November 2023. They had a 1 year special where you pay R299. I started getting double charged and when I went to seek assistance from the staff members from that branch they told me they would sort it out, a month or two passed and the same thing happened again and when I went to go ask them they said that I would have to contact the gym via phone to speak to their financial department to use the references in my bank statement.

I was not assisted and I tried again to contact them via their online chat bot and WhatsApp asking for one of their agents to call me. This form of communication started in March 2024 and I haven’t received any type of response from them.

The most alarming part is that to date I’m still paying for a 1 year membership 6 months after it was meant to end and the amounts very from month to month. In the past they have taken amounts of up to R500 and this is really frustrating.

On the 7th of May 2024 they decided R299 and then again on the same day R399 and the references on the bank statements are not the same
