Not cancelling contract debit order

My daughters both had Planet Fitness Gym Contracts which I paid. <br> <br> When the first contract expired we asked for the contract - 2 months before expiring date - not to continue after the contract expire. We found out if you do not cancel the contract in writing before the contract expire, they just keep you on a month to month contract and continue to debit a person's bank account. My daughter was at reception and the girl told her not to worry, this will not continue after the contract date. It did continue off my bank account. I phoned and complained again and again. After I emailed them and told them I'm going to see my lawyers did the debit order get cancelled. I never got my money back for the months they took amounts off my account after the contract expired..<br> <br> Then with my other daughter we had fights with them telling us the contract is not what we signed up for to bring someone for free with my daughter every time she goes to gym (the black tag contract). I got the contract from Planet Fitness after I phoned and emailed non stop. The sales person never put the conditions in. We told them to cancel the contract and not continue after the end date. They still have not done it
