Not allowed to take out a pre-paid contract

<p>I have been a member of planet fitness for almost 6 years now. My last 3 contracts have been pre-paid fixed term contracts as i perffer these over a month to month contract. I went to see a sales consultant at Centurion Mega Gym regarding renewing my contract. He assited me and I told him the R299pm x 12 (prepaid contract) sounded steep compared to my prevouise contract which was R199 pm x12. I then told him my wife also needs to renew her contract and he suggested we both come in and he will try to see if the regional maneger would give us a discount if we both rejoined and did the pre-paid accounts. Later that week the sales manger phoned me asking about the meeting with the other sales consultant. I explained to her my situation and told her that now 4 of us ( my mother and siter included) would like to renew our contracts could she assist with trying to negotiate for a beter price. She agreed saying she would phone the regional manger and that I should go and see her that afternoon. I went to see her and she said we only qualify for R299pm x12 and then R529x12 pm contracts and that non of us may take the prepaid contract again as we have already taken them in the past. I objected and told her the prevouise consultant told me we qualify for it. She called the consultant he confirmed this to which se responed to say that the consultant isn't allowed to sel pre-paid contracts anymore. I decided to leave at that moment as I could see this manager had no respect for here sales consultant and also had no intention to try and assist us as clients.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to know why I am not allowed to take a pre-paid contract anymore?</p>
