Noise distrubance

<p>Planet Fitness opened a new gym in Vanderbijlpark, right behind my house, less than 20m from my boundary. Their industrial air conditioners are making a continuous drone noise (which must certainly be way above the local bylaws for a residential area) during operating hours, starting at 4h30 to 21h00 weekdays and a shorter hours over weekends. This has impacted our quality of life at home severely. Upon engaging with them, the answer was that the building was approved by local councel and they cannot help me. What nonscence, there are many engineering solutions to the problem but Plant Fitness (Project Department) is just brushing my complaint aside, implying I must live with it. I must add that the GM has tried to accommodate us by ensuring the timers on the air con system is operational, but the fact of the matter is that the drone noise is impacting severely on our lives by waking our household up at 04h30 every weekday! My pool and entertainment area has become an area deserted by us, which is supposed to be our area for relaxation, but has become a droning noise zone! Furthermore, if I ever want to sell my property, any intelligent buyer will walk away from it and Planet Fitness is just shrugging it off. I am trying to find a solution with Planet Fitness input for peaceful co-existence, which with some modification to the exhaust of the 2 main outlets, should be possible at a very reasonable cost. Very frustrated that Planet Fitness does not value my family's quality of life nor my property value loss.</p>
