No assistance to cancel a membership

We have been trying to cancel our membership since March 2023 and every attempt that we make we never receive feedback, nor confirmation that the membership is cancelled. I have spoken to the branch as well being that the membership is under my brothers name and he is not always availble to take calls or make the calls and we also do not have transport at this point in time to get to the gym to cancell in the branch. But they quick to hand my brother over due to the membership being in arears and yet again take their time to assist in cancelling the membership. It has now been 3 months later and still nowhere close to having it cancelled.
